1st & my CC winner was Hales Wizaland Cool Nifty Fifty JW. I
have already sung the praises of this breeding earlier in this report.
In this 2 year old black and white male I found my star of the day. He
is outstanding. His size and balanced overall make and shape are all
that one would ask from a border collie. He has a great head, muzzle,
stop, back skull. Eyes and ears perfect. His reach of neck, top line,
croup and loin very good. Spring of rib is correct, front upper arm and
shoulder are sound. That enables him to cover the ground with good
front extension. His rear build is good, enabling him to have the sound
drive. He was in sparkling condition. His black and white coat
presented well, he was lovely to handle and his temperament is
outstanding. My co-judge and I could not agree on the best of breed
award so on the referee's decision, he was awarded RESEVE BEST IN SHOW.
Well done and I know that his title is just around the corner.

the first place in this strong class.

Summary
This
was a lovely event to be invited to judge. I wish to thank the
committee for the invitation and the sporting applause of the
exhibitors was very refreshing. I find that the Border Collie is now
one of the strongest breeds in the Pastoral Group in both Quality and
Quantity and I thank you all.

Judge.
